Samsung Washer Error Codes

samsung appliances brand logo

Samsung washing machines are designed to provide helpful information to help diagnose any issues that come up. Samsung washing machine error codes serve this purpose. When an error code appears, it can be alarming. Keep in mind that many error codes can be quite easily resolved by following a series of instructions. Here is a list of some of the common error codes you may see displayed on your Samsung washer.

Code Meaning Solution
1E, LE, 1C, LC, LC1, 1 1C, 1 LC Faulty Water Sensor or Leakage

  1. Check to see if there are visible signs of a leak in or around the washer.
  2. Next, check the supply hoses and the drain hose that are located behind the washer to make sure they are not twisted or bent. (Make sure not to remove the screw on the back of the washer that keeps the drain hose connected to the washer.)
  3. Try to run an empty wash cycle. If suds appear in the water it means that there was too much detergent used in a previous cycle, or non-HE detergent was used. Keep running empty cycles until there are no more suds.

If suds are no longer present but the error code does not clear, place a service request through our Support Centre.

nF, 4C, 4E, 1 4C Hot/cold Water Supply Mix-Up – Cold and Hot Water Supply Hoses Have Been Interchanged. Connect the cold water supply to the cold Inlet and do the same for the hot water. Simply follow the colour-coded hoses; blue is for cold water and red is for hot water.
nd, 5E, SE, 5C, SC, 1 5C Draining Problem; Water Is Not Draining Properly from The Washer
  1. Turn off the washer and check the level of the washer. If it is not level, it could be the reason why the water is not draining.
  2. Inspect the drain hose. If the drain was incorrectly installed, it will lead to drain issues.
  3. Clean the pump (just the front loaders). The pump filter should be cleaned periodically to maintain the performance and of your washer and prevent odours.
  4. Turn the washer back on and try to start a cycle. The water should drain at the beginning of the cycle.

If it doesn’t, request service from our Support Centre.
